BUITENBEELD is looking for outdoor artworks (and other art forms)
Buitenbeeld refers to art in public spaces, to works that can withstand the elements, but also to stories, places and creators that normally remain out of the spotlight. During these open days, artists open their studios and the public is given a glimpse into a world that usually remains hidden. BUITENBEELD invites you to look at things differently – at art, at the environment and at one another.
The site, covering almost 4,000 square metres, serves as a stage for artists ‘from outside’.
The resulting Buitenbeelden route will be on display until 25 October.
If you’d like to take part, please send your details and a photo of your work to umbrella@nieuwenmeer.nl by 28 July! There will be an information session in the Kantina on Tuesday 28 July at 4.00 pm!
Sculptures must be installed by 4 September at the latest; large sculptures may be installed earlier, from Monday 31 August.
