Vrijdag 28 augustus presenteert Mathias Lüscher zijn werk waar hij de afgelopen 2 maanden als Artist in Residence op de Nieuw & Meer aan heeft gewerkt.
In zijn eigen woorden:
"The World Pulse Beats Beyond My Door is an exhibition by Swiss artist Mathias Lüscher, who spent the last two months as a resident at Nieuw en Meer. His works form speculative realities and reflect on the material traces of our time — from fossil remains and ecological entanglements to possible futures.
The starting point for his new works is the history of Nieuw en Meer, a former military site that is now inhabited by artists. The site holds different times and uses within itself, each phase leaving traces that transform the place and expand its meaning. Lüscher's work explores these layers and asks how memory and history inscribe themselves into materials and continue into the present."
