Jazmin Charalambous
AIR Presentation
27|03|21
Saturday 27th March, 12:00-16:00
Jazmin Charalambous presents the results of her residency at Nieuw en Meer. Her multidisciplinary practice focuses on shared cultural histories and urban engagement. A hanging chair sculpture, city park for crows, and legendary stone all feature in the work she makes about the complex past of a small town in former East Germany – Kalbe (Milde). Living in the shadow of WWII and the Iron Curtain, the town is the subject of several absurdities, which are identified and accentuated through both real and imagined scenarios. The story unfolds in ‘t Buitenland on frontyard.
Jazmin looks forward to meet you there!
